In My Mailbox (11)

In which I ramble for way too long about such varied topics as my love for Jacki at Lovely Little Shelf, cat hair, and pornography. And a whole bunch of great books. Interesting to note as you watch: I have an awful habit of buying books for no reason other than they are on sale. Watch how many times I say "I saw it and it was on sale".

  2. I want to add: I am also a SUCKER for a sale. I don't think that there is anything at all wrong with that.

  4. Sale Sucker #3 here.

I might join you on your president biography thing if you don't mind. I was thinking about doing it when Booney started but it's a good 2011 goal

  5. I have had The Distant Hours sitting around here for some time, and I think because of the length, I kept pushing it to the bottom of the pile. I loved The House at Riverton, and hearing you rave about this one, makes me think that I need to get to this one right away.
And yes, I know what you mean about loving a book so much that it makes you afraid to pick up the next book :)

  6. I tried to comment on NBC, but my Nook wouldn't let me. I loved The Forgotten Garden, But I couldn't finish The Distant Hours fast enough. Yes, it is beautifully written but I never got into the story and I difn't like the characters at all.
