David, my big brother is a poetry professor and, well, he's cool. He's working on his PhD in Creative Writing while teaching at Texas Tech. He's also an amazing poet and always winning awards and getting published in fancy pants journals. I'm just a tiny bit proud of him if you couldn't tell. His latest accomplishments are:
A poem published in the 60th anniversary Flannery O'Connor edition of Shenandoah. The same poem was featured on Poetry Daily's website, so you can read it here. His is the one by George David Clark.
He is a finalist for the Ruth Lilly Poetry Fellowship, which is apparently a pretty big deal.
