In My Mailbox (4)

Welcome to my fourth week of In My Mailbox, hosted by The Story Siren.  I wanted to do a vlog this week, but I'm looking rough tonight guys.  We had a big day of slaughtering each other in my back yard.  Teaser pics for tomorrow at the end of this post.  So not only has my week been full of death match plans, but it has also been full of book buying.  We went to the used book store today AND the library sale was this week.  Ready for pictures?

I'll start with books I received for review:

The Deadly Sister from Scholastic
A Friend In The Story and A Grief Observed from Zondervan

Ok these next ones are a pretty big deal.  All are first edition hardbacks that I got from the book sale - two dollars each:

Why yes, that is a first American edition of The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath.  Worth between $500 - $1000.  True story.

First editions of My Name is Asher Lev, The Agony and the Ecstasy, and The Looking Glass Wars.  None worth much, but I love them.

My first stack of library sale books (I'll post the others next week - they are still in the car)

From the used book store

And now for the teaser picture for tomorrow's Hunger Games tribute photo post:
This is what happens when you don't vote for Gale.  I wind up dead in the back yard.  Seriously, the most fun I've had in a long time, though.  Look for even more graphic pictures tomorrow.
