Today's Hop Question is: Do you listen to music when you read? If so, what are your favorite reading tunes?
I have to say that I don't typically listen to anything when I read. I get very easily distracted by music, so I don't typically listen to anything while reading. Occasionally I'll listen to instrumental music, usually classical, because I don't get distracted when there aren't lyrics. I do require some kind of white noise to concentrate though. I have a white noise App on my phone and I also keep a fan by my bed to make some kind of "music" while I read.

I can not listen to music or even have the tv on when I read. Background noise distracts me.
ReplyDeleteI do listen to music when I am at work and on lunch reading. It helps get rid of the talking and other background noises here at work. I wouldn't say I am "listening" to the music its just there and I'm IN the book.

As a kid we didn't have air conditioning so every summer I got used to the fan blowing on me and then I couldn't get to sleep without it's rattling sound. So, for a month or two into Fall I'd still have that fan blowing even though it made me cold.

Hi, I am your newest follower. I love your cat-kid. I have four. They are the best kids. Does yours talk back like a teenager? I do not listen to music when I read. I don't usually anyway. Maybe my ears are funny but it is too distracting either soft (what was that?) or loud (Yikes, I can't hear myself think!). My BF is always listening to music, or I don't think I would have noticed this about myself.
