Questions for my fellow book bloggers

How quickly do you review books you receive from publishers?  I'm not talking about tour books that have a deadline (I always make sure those are submitted on time).  But the ones that publishers just send you?  Some I request through Shelf Awareness forms.  Others are sent to me unsolicited.  I feel like I should review them all immediately, but I've been getting an increasing number each week.  Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely NOT complaining, but I'm wondering how some of you who I see getting a million books a week on your In My Mailbox posts do it!  Do you just take your time and catch up as you can?  Is there anything you do to let publishers know you plan to review their books asap?  Any hints?

Also, Luke just oh so kindly informed me that my blog looks weird.  I accidently changed it last week and now I can't get it back to normal, so I'll be working on that this weekend!

  1. Apparently I'm not a very good book blogger, b/c I haven't received any from publishers. Honestly, I haven't really asked for any though. I'm no help. :)

  2. I just take my time. Some time soon I'm going to add a review policy to my may want to check out some bigger book blogs and see what their review policies are.

  3. Oh, I see you have a review policy. :-) I see some that say that they don't guarantee that they will read the review books, they don't guarantee a timeline, they don't accept e-books or self-published books, just to let themselves off the hook, you know?
