Alabama Reading Festival

I was lucky enough to spend this Saturday with my awesome friends Anna, Crystal, Leah, and Wendy and got to meet my new friends Thomas and Lisa in Montgomery at the AL Book Festival. We had an awesome time and I got quite a few new books (signed copies!). Enjoy my photos!
Awww...me and my favorites!

Crystal and Leah, who are apparently close personal friends of Hex Hall author Rachel Hawkins, scored awesome t-shirts - and the rest of us ended up getting one too!

My stack of new books!

  2. Wah-wah. I should have come anyway....that's what irresponsibly putting things on credit cards is for, right? Looks like so much fun!

  3. Yay! I'm in the process of trying to post about it. I agree with Crystal this should be a yearly thing.

  4. Oh, fun! I LOVE the Southern Festival of Books in Nashville each October. It's always on my birthday & I always make it a "birthday trip" complete with shopping & such. Maybe I should add the Alabama one to my list. As for your new books, Big Fish is one of my all-time favorite movies (the book was just okay, in my opinion); Rick Bragg is an AMAZING speaker & writer (loved All Over But the Shoutin' more than anything else he's written); and I also really liked Looking for Salvation -- and listening to Susan Gregg Gilmore when I heard her speak a few years ago. Sounds like a fabulous weekend!
